garlic yeast bread

That’s my absolut favorite bread for  BBQ. My friends and family really like it but it’s a  little mess if you forgot to put some aluminium foil on the bottom of the oven. 😀 You definitely shouldn’t forgot it!


  • 500 gr / 17.6 oz flour 
  • 1 Cube of fresh yeast (don’t use dry yeast. Doesn’t taste that good)
  • 250 ml / 8.45 floz warm water
  • a pinch sugar 
  • 40 ml / 1.35 floz good oil 
  • pinch of Salt 

for the butter

  • 1 package smooth margarine
  • 3 garlic clove
  • 3 sage leafs 
  • 1 parsley (minced) 
  • 1 wild chive (minced)
  • pepper spice 
  • Oregano / tarragon
  • salt and pepper
  • Chili



First you warm up the water. It shouldn’t be hot, just warm. Crumble the yeast in it and mix it all together with the sugar. Allow it to stand for a few minutes. In this time, you oiling a Bowl so the dough don’t stick on the walls. After this you put all ingredient together and knete for a while. The dough shouldn’t be sticky just smooth. Put the dough in the bowl and placed it on a warm room. Cover the bowl with a dish towl. Wait 30 minutes. In this time you can make your garlic butter. You can minced the garlic or press it, whatever works better for you. Minced the herbages and mix everything together. Placed it in the fridge. Roll the dough out similiar to the picture. spread the butter all over the dough and cut it in slices. You fold the slices and placed it in a round baking pan. Replaced it on a warm room and wait 30 minutes. After this you heat up the oven and bake it for 15 – 20 Minutes 180°C/356°F top – and bottom heat.
